The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of both complex and routine facility maintenance responsibilities. This individual is detail oriented and works independently with a high standard of results.

Under the direction of the Base Ops Manager, the Facilities Tech performs building maintenance on BRC facilities, out door maintenance, and collaborates with other departments. With that said, no task is too small as working on Donner Summit means we all pick up a shovel, bump chairs, and pitch in all aspects of resort operations no matter our title or pay grade.If you are detail oriented, have at least 1 year of related experience, and can produce quality results independently, we want to hear from you!

While every day is different and our roles may shift based on business needs, here is what you can expect to dive into in this role as a Building Maintenance Technician:

Maintenance on BRC Facilities including:

• Carpentry
• Woodworking
• Repairs
• Concrete Work
• Electrical Work.

Outdoor Maintenance including:

• Recognizes and properly handles unsafe walkways and entrances.
• Repairs and strengthens wiring and electronics of mountain lighting equipment under the supervision of the facilities manager.
• Repairs siding and roofing of facilities to mediate and prevent future damage.
• Works closely with the Health Safety Team to remedy unsafe conditions outside of skill set.

Department Relations:

• Work closely with the appropriate department teams when collaboration is required.
• Prioritize requests to ensure urgent matters are dealt with first while communicating the status of open tasks with those involved.
• Coordinate with snow surfaces team anytime a project will affect removal efforts.
• Coordinate with lift maintenance any time projects could possible interfere with their ongoing schedule.

What We're Looking For

• Able to recognize and properly correct unsafe conditions
• Undertands obuilding systems and how to properly perform maintenance.
• Works with power tools and the proper use of tools to complete projects.
• Able to work effectively independently with quality results
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize and accomplish a wide range of tasks
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Available to work both day and evening shifts
• Available to work weekends and holidays
• Must pass a background check prior to employment.
• Valid US issued driver's license and pass MVR check
